More Than Just Another Collaboration Tool

See why Swit is the best Work OS for any team

To help you achieve all you can with Swit, we’re going to answer some questions we gathered from a recent product test. Want to find out how our features can directly benefit your specific workflow? Contact us to schedule a custom demonstration.

What is Swit?

Swit is a multi-function task management software that combines your essential collaboration tools, including messaging, project management, plug-ins, and integrations.

It was purpose-built to serve as an internal communication tool that facilitates work management within a team as well as between departments and across workspaces, enhancing work efficiency and transparency for organizations of all sizes.

We organized the Swit platform around the fundamental Human Interface — the natural flow of how people collaborate on a project from start to finish.

Whether you’re in an office, working remotely, or in a hybrid work environment, communication is essential throughout the task collaboration process.

At the same time, we understand the need for flexibility, which is why Swit offers multiple plans and payment options that can adapt to your work needs, including single-function Channels or Projects, or the Hub plan that seamlessly combines both. You can also add plug-ins such as Guests, Goals, Approvals, and Automation to tailor your workspaces in a way that fits any workflow or company size.

Why would you use Swit if you are already using other digital workplace tools?

Swit is not just another addition to an already saturated market, it’s a comprehensive SaaS Integration Platform that provides collaboration essentials, with optional native plug-ins to boost efficiency and reduce app-switching.

For companies that are budget-conscious or limited in their software needs, Swit also has single-function plans for communication and project management. Whether you adopt Swit Hub as a complete work tools solution or combine a single-function plan with your existing platform, Swit will seamlessly adapt to your workflow.

What transforms Swit from an already-robust platform to a frontend hub is our seamless integrations, including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Jira, and more to meet the variable work needs of any organization. We also offer plug-ins that help manage OKRs, approvals, workflow automation, and guest permissions.

Swit was officially recommended by Google Workspace Marketplace as an innovative solution among new apps in the editor’s choice section and is the only collaboration tool available that provides six essential Google services needed for work in a single space: Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Calendar.

What specific problem is Swit trying to solve that other tools don't?

Chat and Task are the two functions most frequently used as part of a person’s daily workflow. When you separate these functions into different apps, you lose both focus and time by constantly switching back and forth between multiple apps.

Additionally, most integrations that claim to supplement a single-function tool by bringing chat and task together ultimately just end up serving notifications from one app to another to nudge you to switch apps.

With other productivity tools, your communication is contained within a single workspace — but quite frankly, this just isn’t how companies operate. Can you imagine an office where the Head of Accounting only speaks to coworkers within their department? A corporation where HR personnel never need to speak with employees in other divisions?

With Swit you have the ability to manage notifications and share information across workspaces from a single dashboard.

This means our platform can accommodate an entire company, with each individual department having their own vertical, private workspace while still staying horizontally connected to other teams for cross-functional projects or task forces. By connecting these workspaces, Swit preserves important context and provides enterprise-level coordination.

While every business has different needs depending on size, the one element they have in common is the drive for growth. So whether you are already a large global corporation or a start-up just making your mark, Swit is built with the necessary scalability to accommodate your needs both now and in the future.

What's the big deal about converting from Chat to Task?

This is a feature we get a lot of positive feedback on from current users, especially in a team structure where conversations often lead to task creation.

For example, let’s say you receive an email from a client asking for you to generate a quote for a job. Using the right panel within Swit, you’re able to drag that email into a channel to share it with your team. You can then directly convert that channel message into a task card and assign it to the team member you want to work on building that quote.

You could take a bug report from a sales channel and convert it into a repair task for the developer team. You could take a brainstormed idea from a content manager channel and convert it into an asset creation task for the design team.

There are countless ways that any business could potentially use the Chat to Task feature to improve both efficiency and productivity.

What features do Swit employees find most useful?

Because our platform is able to accommodate all Swit business, we are uniquely positioned to quite literally practice what we preach. All Swit employees are also Swit users, and by consolidating our operations entirely into our own frontend hub, we are able to support both remote and hybrid work models for our team.

Since our teams are all immersed daily in Swit’s functionality, we asked our employees to share some of their favorite and most-used features of the platform.

  • “I use the Ideation feature after each team meeting to make sure there’s an open forum for feedback and suggestions. It helps us stick to our schedule by ending meetings on time without people feeling rushed to contribute, since they know their voices will be heard.” Nicholas Underwood, Lead of Sales Development
  • “At my last job, my supervisor would set every project view to Timeline. This was a struggle for me because I prefer Kanban. With Swit, I have the freedom to choose the project view that works best for me.” — Nyda Ahmad, Copywriting Manager
  • “As a designer, it’s such a time-saver to be able to drag-and-drop files directly from my Google Drive right into channels and share my work as a message.” Anj Censon, Marketing Designer
  • “I love how our Approvals plug-in really helps streamline the travel reimbursement process for my Sales team. I’m able to see all their requests in one place and keep Accounting in the loop as well.” Keith Lee, Director of Partnerships and Alignment
  • “My favorite Swit feature is channel and project pairing. When the status of task cards changes this automatically sends updates to a paired channel.” Paul Kim, Technical Product Manager
  • “I like Swit because it keeps me organized, all in one place, and I can save time without switching between apps. It’s customizable to individual preferences. I’m able to do more faster for peak efficiency!” Sydney Chan, Digital Campaign Manager
